岡山県北東部、中国山脈の麓には、1950年頃から盛んに桧の植林が行われました。
夏は暑く、冬は寒い環境で育った岡山の桧は、その細やかな木目と薫り高さで知られています。

Chugoku mountains, at the north-east side of Okayama prefecture, is known to have abundant amount of Hinoki cedars. Having gone through hot summers and cold winters, those trees carry fine grain and delightful scent.
